How much time will it take to obtain my permit?
Permit time lines vary from municipality to municipality and by permit type. Some permits are issued over the counter while others require a plan check. The first plan check can range anywhere from 3 to 5 weeks and additional time is required if multiple plan checks are required. Additionally, permits requiring multiple department or agency reviews or approvals need to be processed concurrently whenever possible to minimize delays to permit issuance.
